Academic programs

Undergraduate and graduate students at MSU work with more than 100 faculty specialists on Asia across campus.

Undergraduate students can enroll in either a major or specialization focusing on Asia and can study abroad in Bangladesh, China, India, Japan, Laos, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand.

Graduate students conduct research (PDF)* about Asia as part of master's and doctoral programs in many departments. ASN supports graduate student research with the Foreign Language Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowships as well as provides support for graduate students to attend professional conferences and workshops.
